Probably one for the over 45's
An appeal. Does anyone remember a UK photographic magazine that was published in the early 80's (I think) which was simply titled - 'Camera'. It was larger format than most photo mags, gave more space to photographs and was reproduced in high quality. I'm looking for some issues from about that time. Offers for sale or suggestions of sources would be appreciated equally. It would also be frankly reassuring to know that I am not alone in believing it to be fact......
It isn't You and your camera nor is it Creative Camera. |
You tried looking on ebay? And have you tried googling it?

Try Stephen Batey over at the Photo Answers forum. He seems to be knowledgable about these things...

Still not there
Thanks all, much appreciated. I've been Googling and scouring Ebay for quite some time, beginning to question my own memory accuracy.....the Wiki artical refers to a much much earlier publication. Mine was launched very early 80's. I'll try the photo answers forum.

That one in the Wiki article is a sad story, a magazine left to die by a new owner. It stopped publication in December 1981.

I was at an antiques centre today and almost bought a book 'The World of Camera', published 1964, which came out of the magazine.
