Important blog about where Pro Photography is Headed
This might come as a bit of a slap in the face for some, but it's one mans vision of where the future of Pro Photography is headed, and how he intends to adapt to remain competetive. For some people it might not be what you want to hear, but it's difficult to fault his thinking, and he has the pedigree to back it up. Very Credible and a nice heads up for the way the market is going.

Maybe calling one's self a photographer these days is a bit lame as people who make images will probably be doing oh so much more as technology develops.
Visual journalist for want of a better term will have to shoot stills shoot video, 3D and more in the future. Blogs are the immediate future of individual photographers -- and many photographers will see that they can turn into publishers in their own right as they develop. If photographers think that they are going through tough times just wait - when the publishing houses all fall and google etc control everything then .............. well who knows |
