Couple of things Dan.

There was a big feature in Photo Plus all about this subject so might be worth hunting the article out. If you can't find it let me know and I'll scan it in for you. The nuts of the article said to take a medium reach zoom lens and if photographing through glass, get a rubber lens hood to press against the window to reduce reflections.

Also, I'm booking a microlight flight to photograph the coastline in Northumberland. I decided on a microlight rater than a helicopter as there is no glass. I think they are cheaper too so might be worth a look.

I'm planning a hot air balloon flight sometime in the future - no glass, and hopefully pretty steady!

Dan - perhaps a bean bag or big bit of foam to help reduce vibrations

Let us know how it turns out guys, sounds great fun!

Doh... Completely Forgot about that article... the mags staring me in the Face, lol,

I suppose my 18-55 will do then, Etiehr that or my 70-200,
just ordered some rubber hoods aswell

Were using the plane beacuse we can get it FOC, Well a few favours that is,

Hot air ballon would be Great, beaucse im only shooting one spot just gotta keep circling it i guess, or get it right first time,

Thanks matt, ill take something like that,

If your 70-200mm has IS with two settings, then you can switch it to the second option to reduce vibrations when shooting from moving transport like a plane. THe Nikon 70-200mm VR has this option. :D

Thanks OB, Didnt think of that it, Does have to settings, always wondered what the other one was, lol,
