September Cover

A bit disturbed by the guy taking a photo with his left eye open, is it just me or is that wrong.

Their cover person taking a photo always has their eye open.

I quite often keep my left eye open, especially with sports & aviation photography.

It's that eye contact thing ;-)

I'm the same - always keep my left eye open when doing action photography. It has saved me from a few near-misses when bikes and cars have piled off the track!

However, I instinctively close my left eye as soon as I begin shooting portraits as you tend to find that subjects will try and keep eye contact with you and not the lens!

He was assimilated as a Borg in a previous life! ;)

I too often keep my left eye open to check on what's happening - but I haven't benefitted from Borgness (though some may argue differently! :D)

It's hand as you will be able to use your peripheral vision as stated for action shots or people walking into the frame as you shoot.
