I think the bird is great, but my eye keeps getting drawn to the detail of the hand. Could that be blurred?

Thank you very much TJW,
I kept the hand and bird as sharp as possible to emphasise the textures. Though in the version submitted in Poty09 the image balance is far better in my view and your comment has confirmed my feelings.
