Hoping for nice weather
 

I've been given a pass out to go on a little photo trip.

Plan A is to go up this afternoon to the Berwick area and photo the sunset (weather permitting). Then go inland a bit to the Cheviots to try and do some star trails (away from light pollution).
Then drive down to Bamburugh castle and kip in the car until sunrise.

Well, that's the plan. All on the weather now.

Jimmy where do you get these passes from and how much are they , I haven't much money but I've got a spare kidney I can sell . :)

Well, whatever, I hope both Jimmy/Paul and his wife get what they hope for. Nearly said 'deserve,' but that would probably be read as a negative comment! Even though it could not posssibly be so, of course!

Mark, I think you'd better keep your kidney for something really special, like a photo trip where you can actually sleep in a hotel bed!

Update:
Too much cloud tonight for the sunset. I have however just received an Amber Alert for aurora borealis to be visible from the North East, so here's hoping.

Speaking of the weather..... we are getting a lot of wind today. All coming from some person named Irene :) We are just getting winds, some cloud but no rain. In fact the cloud is supposed to clear off. I may get to visit a pond still to get something for the weekend competition.

Note: In North America an Amber Alert is issued when a child has been abducted. It is named after a child who was abducted and then people realised they needed a system to get the word out. When there is an alert it it sent out over TV, RADIO and even the changeable overhead traffic signs on the highways.
