Stuck using Elliptical Tool. Photoshop CS3
 

I've been following [URL="http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/photoshop/drawing_lineart/"]THIS[/URL]tutorial, but have become stuck on the tyre's.

How can I do them because I can't exactly make a circle exactly like the shape of the wheels.

What is the easiest way of doing it?

Draw an ellipse around the main part of the tyre and release the mouse button. Then hold shift and draw another ellipse around remaining parts. Holding shift adds to the selection, holding alt subtracts. One handy trick is: while holding shift to add to the selection, start drawing the second ellipse. If the centre of the new ellipse isn't located where you want it, while still holding shift and the mouse button, also hold space. This will allow you to relocate your new ellipse. Release space when you're happy, then release the mouse.

The easiest way is to make your selection as near as possible then go to Select > Transform Selection.

You can now resize,reshape and move your elliptical selection at will.

That will only allow you to transform the original elliptical selection, whereas I think the problem is that the intended selection is not an elliptical shape...

You cannot do this because it moves the white coloured layer.

Is'nt the background layer white? So long as you don't select that layer then it shouldn't move.

Make sure to select transform selection, not transform ;)
