Peak District

Hi All

After a wet week camping around the Peak District, thought I'd ask your opinions of this shot looking towards Highfield.

Know the area well, if not specifically. As shots go, it's not a bad shot - interesting enough view and sky and at least it's naturally without shadow as opposed to, shudder, an HDR'd view. But, like so may landscapes you see, it really needs something else to retain the interest: a better angle on the track, something on the track, an interesting patch of light, some foreground interest, etc. Personally, I might've tried moving over to the right, so the track enters closer to the corner and wanders more diagonally across the image

Hi Markulous

It was taken just down a pathway from Jacobs Ladder, looking towards Highfield.

I can see where your coming from and i did look at various options before I settled on this veiw.:) as the others just didn't look right. It gives me an excuse to go there again and see what else I could have done.

Thanks for the reply:D

Rog

PS I hate to say this, but this is a HDR:p image.

LOL! OK, it's not an HDR-as-a-poor-excuse-for-a-poor-shot then! In other words, subtly done and not OTT! :)

Thanks Markulous:D

I've tried a few HDR shots, most of them get binned as they don't look right. This one I liked.

Hi Andy

Nice place and not that far away, may have to have a camping trip down there.:D
