Hi I am looking to upgrade from a entry level sony a200 bought nov 2009 have looked at canon & nikon but quite like my sony looked at several reviews elsewhere and decided that the sony a580 ticks most of my boxes but do not know whether the fullframe would take 18-70mm kit zoom which came with the 200 also have a sigma 70-300mm which was part of the bundle (200 camera 70-300 18-70) inthe last year as my skills have improved bought a tamron sp af 90mm macro and just recently a sony dt 50 f 1.8 sam any help much appreciated

no they will not work on a full frame. Sony are bringing out the a77 this month . with 24 mega pixel aps-c sensor! which will work with your lenses.

The Sony A580 has an APS-C sized sensor, it's the A850 that is a full frame camera. Which of these two models have you been looking at? Your lenses will work with the A580.

The only thing I would add about going full frame is because of the extra resolution you get, it will highlight any optical imperfections found in lesser quality lenses. To get the most out of it you would need to invest in some better lenses.
