Canon 1D Mark 1 help...
 

Hi guys

I can't find a section on here for this question so here i am asking you good people.

My lovely 1D is gathering dust (or not as it's in its bag) as i'm too busy doing the stuff i bought it for in first place.

Where would you recommend i sell it, also i've got lots of bits for it so do you reckon i should sell it in one hit as a complete set up or seperately? And before anyone asks i'd rather not sell on ebay as its not 100% secure that you won't be ripped off by a buyer.

For the amount a 1D MkI will fetch I don't think you need worry about being ripped off on ebay, so long as you follow the procedure of checking a buyer has a confirmed address and you're protected.

It's often said that items on Ebay will fetch what they're worth, so if you don't want to sell there then you might want to hawk it around a few camera shops like London Camera Exchange, but you're going to have to be prepared to get a lot less for it than you would on ebay.

A quick check of the completed listings shows them going for between £300 - £500 depending on condition

I'm with Flake on this so long as you use PayPal and check the funds are cleared Ebay is the way to go Iv sold lots on there(including a car that went to America) never had a problem and I just got £450 for my 20D and lens sold separately

Best to sell Canon kit separately as different people need different bits
