Upgrade Advice

Can anyone offer any advice on upgrading? I currently have a Nikon D80 which is still a great camera. However, I have been asked to do my first wedding in August (eek!) and need to have an additional camera in any case so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to justify spending some money on a camera.

The more I can get for the least amount tha I have to spend is ideal but I don't really have a budget as such.

Any views greatly appreciated. I'm just completely baffled by the current range of Nikon's and which one would be best for my purpose.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Apart from another body, what other kit do you need that you haven't already got?
Lenses for example.

Get the D300s as it's the next step up from the D80. :p

D7000 would be a upgrade.... depends on ££££

or you could try and hunt down a lightly used D300 or D90 ( D90 isnt a massive upgrade)

It honestly depends on what you want to do with the camera and your personal interest

Thanks all - you've kind of all suggested the cameras that I've been looking at.

In terms of used vs new - what are your thoughts? I've never bought a used camera before but is this an avenue worth exploring? If so, do you have any recommendations for trusty suppliers?

As I mentioned in my first post, I don't really have a budget as such. I just want to make sure that I get the best camera for wedding photography.

I already have a 50m prime lens, a 18-180 and a 70-300. I think that these should cover all bases. I've got a speedlite, reflector and tripod that I also plan to take with me so am also on the look out for decent bag to carry all the equipment. Needless to say, have roped the other half in to be a bit of a pack horse for me for the day!!
