Smart Photo Editor

Has anybody else used this Smart Photo Editor from Anthropics?

It's really quite clever, also you can download the beta version for testing / evaluation or buy it for £6.95 - an absolute bargain. The masking tool is very clever.

Well worth a look.

I can imagine the comments of Flickr.... "Wow, nice work! Very creative"........ answered by.....

a. "Yes, I spent a couple of hours on it with Photoshop"

or

b. "Yes, it took five seconds on Smart Photo Editor"

but 2 hours in Photoshop is only for people who haven't discovered actions ;)

True enough about Actions (but don't you feel as if you've cheated? unless, of course, you made them yourself).

Back to the Smart Editor - I downloaded it and installed it but really couldn't be bothered with the hassle of registering for it etc. I'd do that if I like it, not before.

I like to understand actions, I don't use third party actions very often but I do turn lots of my own stuff into actions, when you're processing 700 shots from a sports match they save a ton of time.

I have downloaded that programme though, just for research purposes you understand.

I joined the beta test programme for this software and have written a short review here if it helps?

Have you tried Lightroom? It makes applying settings to entire libraries even easier than PS actions :)

Matt,

I use Lightroom on my RAW files but prefer to finish tweaking in Photoshop.
