K-X

As the new and so prettily colored K-x made it on the newsletter and the home page today, anyone willing to check the stats and let me know where it stands in the product range? It's generally marketed as an entry level camera but seems chock full of nice surprises.

I'm quite partial to the red and white

It's one I would consider if my Canon S3 weren't still going strong. But where can you get one to test nowadays? Seems Jessops only sell certain makes now and there aren't many other stores in this area.

PS love the colours now that Pentax has launched, this is probably the influence of more women entering photography

According to this: Pentax K-x Digital SLR Review it's an advanced replacement to the K-m. Seems like a good camera.

Since my last post I have had a good look and this and the telephoto lens bundles make it really attractive so I am now officially saving up for it. only £150 to go, will I make it for christmas? Will do if I sell enough bean bags.

I'm going for the Navy blue, still a bit conservative about camera colours!

Surprise surprise .

PC world have a very good twin lens deal going on the Kx seems to undercut even online retailers.

I like the features of the K-x but found it a bit small for my hands.... and I'm no giant. Just seemed a little too cramped and lightweight for me. If it had been around a year ago or more I'd have been buying it for my daughter, but got her the even smaller Oly 620 instead.

I was considering getting it for my partner. The one thing that put her off was very slow slow and noisy focus motors on the lenses.
