Engineers and mechanics all?
 

Is it my imagination, or is there a high proportion of engineers and mechanics among our photographers?

Could this be a relic from the old days, when photography was a much more technical experience? A sort of automatic interest for people with a 'technical' brain? Even now, when it's much more 'untechnical' and digitised?

As far as I'm concerned this counts.

I was a Toolroom Machinist (engineer), then a drill instructor in the RAF and now a Fireman:D

Im an outdoors man, Not working atm but educated in Fishery managemtnet and fish farming, and a bit of country side management, if that means anything, lol

Used to be a mechanic, wouldn't know where to start nowdays.
