Dragon Fly
Spotted this on a countryside walk today.
Can any of our resident experts let me know what it is? Taken on a 5D MkII with Canon 100-400. ISO 640 1/800 f7 @ 400mm |
I'm not an expert Garry but I think that it's a wide bodied chaser.

What ever it is, it's beautiful:D Rog |
It's pretty straightforward - as they used to say on Catchphrase "say what you see";)
It's a chaser and has 4 spots, so it's a Four Spotted Chaser (yes, i know it's got 8 spots, don't confuse the issue:D). Anyway here's a good link for you Cathus http://www.british-dragonflies.org.uk/species/four-spotted-chaser Great shot, by the way. Have you got a larger version to look at? All the best, Sie:) |
Oops, forgot to add that it's a cracking pic.

Yup, nice shot of a Four-spotted Chaser! :)
