Peregrine Falcon
I was out for a walk one morning recently while on holiday on the Llyn and was lucky enough to catch a few frames of this magnificent creature as it flew past over a nearby field. I know it's not the best for background, i just managed to fire off about half a dozen frames as it flew past, but i was so chuffed to get even 1 frame sharp.

lucky you, most bird of prey shots we see are captive at falconry centres, well done for getting such a good shot of a wild one.

Must be good to capture such majestic birds in the wild. Whilst camping this weekend, we came across a Bird of Prey show at Copthorne Hall, but there captive. I'm not sure what this one is, anyone recognise it?? Cheers, Sie:)[/QUOTE] Great job :-) It also proves why you should always carry a camera with you. We have a peregrine falcon that hovers close to my house, it nests on top the police station in the town. Its become quite famous and the RSPB are always near the station with spotting scopes for people to look at it. Its always too fast for me to capture and the only time I did manage to get it in the frame it was totally blown out so you did really well :-) Karen |
