Why is it that when I switch off my camera after using the RAW settings and switch back on the settings have changed to large jpegs this has only started recently.

Is the date and time correct?

By default when the camera ships it is set to large JPEG, you may not be aware but your camera has a seperate CMOS battery in it so it can remember settings when the main battery has been removed I believe it is a CR2016.

Look at page 191 of your canon manual, it is located in the main batter compartment.

I cannot think of any other reason why it would revert to large JPEGS.
