Your Mission 110: Motion blur
This month's mission is about blurring motion to create an image that captures every day subjects in an original and dynamic way. Whether you use it to convey a sense of movement and drama in an action shot or to add impact to a static subject, we're looking for something that really makes the most of creative potential provided by slow shutter speeds.
What we mean by slow depends on what you're shooting - for a racing car speeding down a straight, a slow shutter speed might be 1/125 sec, while for a zoom-blur abstract it might be a second or more. All that we ask is that least part of the image has been blurred in camera; whether that's the subject, the background, or a combination of the two is up to you. To be in with a chance of winning a Lowepro Flipside 400 AW you will need to: Create a gallery on PhotoRadar, upload your entry and email the link to digitalcamera@futurenet.com with 'Your Mission: Motion Blur' in the subject line by 5 April 2011. The three best shots will be printed in Issue 112, on sale 4 May 2011. A selection of the best shots will appear on the website. |
May I ask where exactly the selection of best shots appear on the website? I have seen this mentioned in previous "Your Mission" threads but have never had success in locating them.
Thanks, |
They appear in the news section: http://www.photoradar.com/news/story/digital-camera-competition-your-mission-107-winners

Hi Andrew,
You might want to bookmark http://www.photoradar.com/mission as you'll find everything you need to know there. But point taken - in future I will post in the relevant threads as well so you don't miss them. Best wishes, Amy |
By the way Amy, the covers for the latest 2 editions are the wrong way round in that link ;)

Hi Matt,
Sorry - not sure what you mean? Just checked and they're in order...? Thanks, Amy |
Oh, I see the most recent mag (Fine art) on the left, with a mag I haven't seen (Wildlife Shots) in the middle? I assumed this was the new edition coming soon?
|
Nope - the Fine Art edition (Issue 110 - April 2011) is the most recent, on sale date from 8th March 2011.
The one with the bird on the front is Issue 109 - March 2011 which was on sale from 8th Feb 2011. Thanks, Amy |
What the deuce! I missed an edition then. Heads will roll, rest assured!
