Focus on Imaging 2011
Hi Everyone
Been to the NEC today to the Focus on Imaging 2011, and was a little disappointed compared to last year? Does anyone else know the photo editing software that was being shown by the 2 amerircan guys at £100 for the $ 499.00 package as I cannot find them on the floor plan or on the web perhaps they are a late entry??? Would like the software but didnt have card or cash with me (On Purpose) but may nip back before the end of the show? Cheers Alex |
That was Topaz Labs. It's good software, plugins for PS and pretty much anything else that can work with PS plugins. The full bundle is $200 to dowload, so that may influence your decision on whether it's worth going back to the show. Also you can try out the products for 30 days & buy whichever you want individually. At some point, it makes sense to buy the whole bundle.

Went on the spur of the moment today. Seemed much like it was the last time two years ago.
Called at the Pradr stand, all there was there were two ladies selling DCM subscriptions when I called. Rounded off the day by paying 1.38p per litre for petrol on the M40. |
I went today too and met up briefly with Drew and cathus. Had a good look around and despite what I heard and the absence of Canon it seemed much as last year. Dropped into Photoradar stand but disappointed there were no prizes for critiques so did not put any images in.
Splashed out on a good deal for a Nikon 24-70 which I have dreamed of for a while. Don`t believe what you hear about getting reductions in the last hour - 6/7 times I wnet to Jacobs haggling but still they would not drop. Still got it cheaper than anywhere I can find in UK and happy enough. |
I went today and had a good look round, but didn't bump into anyone I knew or at least nobody made themselves known to me. I didn't buy anything either. I enjoyed David Clapps seminar on the PhotoRadar stand this afternoon though whether I'll be treking off anywhere in the middle of the night to take photographs by moonlight remains to be seen.
