Take your router out of it and put it on a table :p

Now why did I not think of that :)

I'd get the oven serviced. They're on close frequencies (2.4 and 2.38GHz if I remember). The oven should have seals around the door wet to prevent leakage maybe one of those needs replacing.

Thanks Paul, it sounds like should just stand my fish pie beside the router and forget about the oven :), seriously though I take your point about the seals.

Just change the channel you're router is set on.

Now that is worth a try, TBH I'm a little worried that the oven may be leaking now, I'm planning to put silver foil round the door opening and turning it on to see if it still bothers the router, its probably due for replacement though and that would solve all the problems a allay any worries about leakage.

They don't leak. Does the door have a metal mesh inside it? If so - it won't be leaking.

We've tested this at work and you can actually remove all the glass from the door and they are still safe as it's the metal mesh in the door (and within the bodywork) that stop the microwaves from escaping.

The Germans complained about the same thing when the pathfinfers flew over with their H2S switched on. "Gott in himmel, es ist kaput "
