Finding image addresses for the poll

When setting up the poll I'm not sure how you all go about getting the image addresses from the Entry thread and posting them on the poll thread.

Here's a way you can do it without searching for the addresses.

1: Go to weekly comp entry thread.

2: On the images you want to include in the poll. Hit the Quote button.

3: Don't worry if you get the image instead of the quoted text. Just hit the "Switch Editor Mode" button (highlighted in green) below.

Between the quotes you will now see the address. Copy this directly into the poll thread you are creating
.

Once you get the hang of it, you can use the multi quote button. Hit the multi quote button for each image you wish to use, and on the last one hit quote. You'll see all the addresses in one go. ;)
Hope this helps.

Cheers Mick, that's going to be really useful, ta.

Can i just ask a stupid question - if the person has not made their image "clickable", what's the best/easiest way to go about adding that in from what you've just described?
(Bear in my mind that i don't normally look at the html code at all - in the past all i've done is use copy and paste.)

Cheers, Sie

Sie.

I assumed they would have done that work for you in the entry thread. But if they haven't, then you'll either leave as is, or go search for image addresses, and edit the code. Can't really see any other way I'm afraid.

Thanks for the tip Mick, I'll try that if I ever win again. . .

I managed to link to some original pictures today by right clicking the entry thread image and then selecting 'open image'. In every case this took me to the larger original and I just copied the address from there. I'm using Opera 11.
