More Picture Styles For your EOS
Hi all thought i would share this little freebie i have found on the net for Canon EOS users to add more picture styles.
Go to http://tinyurl.com/lspkl2 Check out the different styles or like me download all of them and place them in a folder as when checking my 500D i can only upload 3 extra ones at any one time, unless you want to change your original styles. Once you have them though you can easily change them depending on your shooting mode. All instructions are there to read download and install P.S. Once you have the styles in your folder you can use them also in Canon's digital photo professional software Now you didn't think you would be doing this today did you !!!! ;) :D:D |
Well yes thanks for the info.
but you can make your own up via the menu button and go to picture style and mess about with them as mush as you like, all that is being dun is you have the option off changing sharpness, contrast saturation and colour tone, I no longer use them as I can not shoot in RAW with the custom functions. Have you noticed that the EOS 5 and now the 7 do not have the basic built in custom functions! I can recommend shooting in RAW with the use of the Faithful or Neutral seting and do all the adjustments after, Give it a go and see how you get on. Robster |
Confidence that's what it's all about !
Just bought this camera in August and trying to get used to everything, each day i find something different and new to me & i did study the manual as far as one can. Thanks for your great tip & information i will give it a go. Trying to get used to the camera, same as the Canon digital programe it's like trying to juggle soot for a novice, hopefully with time i will be making the most of my investment. I do like the idea of this site though as you are never far away from an explanation tip or advice Thanks ;) |

what makes me laugh they say the 450 is an entry level camera.
it blows away my EOS 620 I had in 1987 and the price not a lot different either. Gordon you will know the camera better than the back of your hand soon, it will just all fall into place. Robster |

Robster
Excellent point about how much more sophisticated basic EOS models are today than the SLRs of yesteryear. Back in the 80s when I got into photography a camera that offered a 3 frame-per-second motordrive and a 1/4000sec top shutter speed would have been a top-of-the-range model. Now it is par for the course Sometimes we forget just how much we take for granted nowadays |
funnily enough i was trying to explain that to my lad this morning ,telling him about the old through the lens metering ,where you had a needle on the side of the screen that moved up and down ,and split screen focussing that was another brain teaser to get right ,seems like only yesterday but it must be 40 years ago

thanks for the link Gordon:cool:
