Video reviews and first looks
 

What do you think of video reviews and first looks? Do you like them, loathe them or never look at them?

We're not planning on using them to replace written reviews, but I'd be interested to know your thoughts about our (and others') videos.

Honestly, I never use them. I never look at the videos on the disc either. I find this ironic, since I tend to learn better from being shown something, but the videos do not replace a live person and I do not find them useful for learning at all.

On another site that I frequent (not photo related) they have a lot of videos now, but they also provide the complete transcript of the video content. I always use the transcript for any that interest me,

Like Don, I've never looked at them. Neither on the site nor the disks (which I don't use at all).

I enjoyed the videos, but would appreciate something a little more advanced.
