D300 power pack
I have just purchased a D300 I also have a D80 will the MD 80 power pack fit the D300? I vaguely remember reading on a forum that it will but you wont get the extra power that you get from the one recommended.

I'm not sure wether the MD 80 unit will fit the D300, but if you intend to by the proper Nikon unit and batteries it will be quite expensive. If you need to use EN-EL3/4 batteries you will need the to also buy the proper carrier that fits inside the MB-D10 unit as the one supplied only takes AA sized batteries. A different charger is also required for the EN-EL4 batteries.
I should add that its expensive if you buy genuine Nikon stuff. |

As far as I'm aware the MB-D80 power pack won't fit. It only fits the D80 and D90

You can use either. There is no need to use the EN-EL4 batteries. The MB-Q10 changes the handling of the D300 for the better and in common with most people who buy it I don't take it off. The quality of the MB-D10 is as high as the camera and you soon forget it is an add on. |

No mate. The MB-D80 will fit the Nikon D90 DSLR but not the D300. You will need the MB-D10 for that. |
