Pentax Software Troubles
Hi,
My Pentax Digital Camera Utility 4 softeware won't open, it was working fine until a week ago, now when I try to open it it shut s down saying there is a run time error. I have tried uninstall and reloading it, updating Java, downloading 4.3 as advised by Pentax, but still no luck. I have also taken my Fuji software off just in case.... Any thoughts please?? Ta, |
Hi Andrew,
Have you installed any other new software or updates recently, i.e. shortly before the day on which the Pentax software started giving problems? Also, if your operating system is Windows have you tried restoring to a point before the Pentax software malfunction? (All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore). Bump Edit: When the run time error comes up it should give an error code. If so, check it against the list of codes here to get a clue as to what is wrong. |
Andrew, I don't know if you have visited this forum since your post? I noticed that you posted the very same question on Pentax User forum on 18 Jan but have not responded to advice given there by davidxgreen either. If you solved your problem it would help other members of both forums if you could describe what you did. It will then be a useful reference if they experience similar problems in the future. Thanks.

BTW I forgot to ask if you have any sort of registry monitor-and-repair application on your computer (e.g. PC Tools Registry Mechanic). If so, have you run a registry check? Bump |
