Hi from rainy L.A.

Hows everyone doing in the weather that you are getting? I was hoping to see some sun here instead of all the snow and frosty weather at home. We had one day then its been persisting down ever since, supposed to be sunny Christmas Eve and Chrimmie day though. No chance of any photographs up to now still got till the middle of Jan.
Anyway best wishes for Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Littlebro.

Hi littlebro.

Hope that you are enjoying your break. Yesterday was pretty horrendous here. My youngest took eight and a quarter hours to drive home the 22 miles from work in Newport, Gwent. It took him seven and a half hours to get the 5 miles out of Newport. It's been thawing a bit today though.

Take care and enjoy Christmas and the New Year, if you set your watch right you can celebrate them both twice, one UK time and one LA time.:D

Wish I was in L.A. rain or no rain....

It's been raining in my garage today - burst water pipe! And it was lagged! Washing machine is toasted. Garage floor is like an ice rink.

I'm beginning to dislike Christmas..
One year - the immobiliser failed on the car on Christmas Eve, car was useless until 29th Dec.
Another year - central heating(!) failed late on Christmas Eve, house was freezing until 27th Dec (cost a fortune too)!
Last year - I was in hospital with Kidney stones stuck where they shouldn't be - got out on Christmas Eve, but took ages to get home because of the snow! Couldn't buy anybody a present.
This year we can't wash any clothes! I wonder what else Santa has in store for me this year.....

Have a great time over there, I'm sure the weather will improve!

Phil

Our tv died today :-(
What is it about Christmas that breaks things?
Sorry about your misfortunes, Phil. Have a nice christmas in the states, Littlebro, you're only missing snow and ice here.

And leaking pipes, I've just been round to a friends house whose pipe burst in the loft while they were out. Everything is wrecked and the house is inhabitable for several weeks to come....

Looks like we may have some extra guests for Christmas Dinner

Phil
