New Features, What would you like Nikon to develop in future

Thinking about future facilities what would you like Nikon to develop.

ND Grad and other filters.

I thought of one today, a built in bank of electronic filters like an ND Grad. You can mimic this effect in PS so I think it and other effects should be possible in camera

All joking aside ND filters or some way of turning down the ISO would be great as I find I have too much light as often as not enough

Us Nikon users are smarter than your average snapper we can easily cope with another few settings :) , its half the fun tweaking the setup.

Seriously an ND \ ND Grad a warming and cooling filter, though you can tweak the White Balance to warm or cool to a degree.

All you would need is an Iso50 instead of a ND filter.

I would like them to concentrate on building a new camera and ditch the Video stuff!
I would like to see another APC sensor camera with slightly less noise. I prefer the 1.5x crop because it means I don't have to spend the same kind of money to get 300mm f2.8 as the full frame boys. Extra length is good for football.

Would quite like the saturation/contrast/sharpening etc. in camera to be a little more controllable instead of low-med-high etc. The facility to configure these profiles on the computer to get them how you like them and then upload them to the camera would be superb.

A next generation focus tracking would be VERY handy. I'm one of about 3 people in the world that actually use the dynamic focusing and although I'm happy with it, there is the odd occasion where it selects the background in a burst of shots. Not often i must admit.

I like fast cameras too. 5-6fps minimum, with option of adding the mb-d10 grip like i have on the D300!

Not bothered about MP or anything like that.

There's a few for starters!

Use exposure compensation and set the ISO to 200, job done! :)

Low ISO for me - an not a "Lo" but a true ISO 100 and 50.

As for in camera ND Grads - why? Whats wrong with real ND Grads?

Real ND Grads can't be used with the Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 lens. :)

Real ND Grads are expensive, you have to remember to take them with you, they are cumbersome and require a special filter mount, they can get scratched, they have to be kept clean etc etc.

I love the effect my ND Grads give but my latest lens the 14-24 f2.8 has no facility for fitting filters!!!! and it a wide angle !!!! so I'm inventing one just now, I'll post pics once I've completed it I'm sure it will be very handy and its cheep to make.

Point taken about the 14-24. You could always just buy a smaller lens...
