Giving your picture a tag; obligatory?
 

We are encouraged (even obliged, I thought) to assign a category to a photograph when we upload one.

Whenever I look at a picture on the site, I also have a look at the 'related photographs by other users' and seem to find more and more photos wihtout 'relations.'

When checking the original picture, I notice that there are no categories added by the photographer, so the picture is not linked in any way to other photographs.

This must reduce the chance, that anyone ever sees that particular picture, once it's off the first page of the newly uploaded photographs , to next to nothing.

Should PhotoRadar enforce the tagging?

i thought you had to add tags??

There is a red asterisk, so you'd think it's compulsary, but many pictures appear without any tags.

This should be compulsory - our technicians are trying to establish why it isn't working.

Can they make this a pre-defined selection list? There seems to be multiples with the same meaning, i.e. B&W black&white etc.
