Member Status

I've noticed that several people on the forum are marked as 'Senior Member', what is the significance of this?

It's to do with the number of posts that you make on the forum. Junior Member to start then Member and then at 100 posts Senior Member. Can't remember how many posts from Junior to Member but Member to Senior Member at 100 posts.

So to improve your status, waffle like the rest of us.:D

Even though I know you only need to post X number of comments to become a senior member, I always think, rightly or wrongly, that a senior member is someone who really knows about photography. And about the workings of the site.
The senior members I've come across so far, seem to bear this out.

I dread to think though, that people will think the same about me when I reach that elevated position. So far, I'm only stumbling along slowly, trying to reach the standards that a lot of (junior as well as senior) members possess.

I've got a little way to go yet, so if I don't waffle too much and keep working hard, I might, in due time, combine the two.

I agree with the comments posted here (The waffle was just a bit of humour), if people tale the time and effort to communicate with others regarding a subject then they will improve their experience, knowledge and capability. Communication is the foundation of knowledge.

For what it is worth, I seem to have moved from Junior Member to Member as I passed through 30 Posts... :-)

I'll have a drink to celebrate tonight :-)
