Elements 9??
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site, although I was on the old DC website under the dubious name of Willythewabbit! (Embarrassing I know!) I'm currently using Elements 6 to process my stuff and am quite pleased with what I can do and I'm used to how everything works. Has anyone tried the new Elements 9 yet? If so, how does it compare and do you think it would be worth the upgrade? I was going to download the trial version from Adobe, but for some reason it was going to take between 6 and 9 hours to download.......even on broadband! Any advice at all would be great, but please bear in mind that I can't afford the full Photoshop.......curses:( Thanks for any help I may get. Andy. |
Have you looked on this site .There's a video review .Sitting on the screen as I type .Depends what you do I used to use elements 7 for a while and managed to get CS3 at a good price .(having said that most of what I do I could do in elements anyway) I am not majorly into photoshopping prefeering to go for a decent shot to start .Then it's levels ,curves ,and may be Black and white.
If you are happy with what you can do now why upgrade ? Learn all over again and ultimately achieve the same .No amount of post processing will make you a better photographer . |
For me, being on a Mac, it was worth it. Mac's did not have the organiser before version 9. Also new: layer masks and "content aware" healing brush which is really, really slick.
