Setting up a poll for the weekly comp

Hi,

I am doing the weekly competition this week, I have set up the chat thread and the entries thread. However I am going to need to set up the poll tomorrow and this is where I am a little unsure.

Presumably I just post the title of each entry and the image in the thread, but it is the poll bit I am not sure about.

I see at the bottom of the message there is an option for post a poll where you put the number of options, am I correct in guessing that once I click submit new thread it will ask additional questions such as expirey date and time of the poll and each of the voting topics.

Will this appear automatically at the top of the thread or do I need to do the poll and then post the images?

I am loathed to try it without knowing what I am doing as an admin will need to delete the entry if I mess it up plus it could cause confusion.

Maybe we need a how to for this which I am more than happy to write once I know what I am doing as I know I am not the first to be unsure of how this is done.

Why not post the walkthrough, then we can add it to the weekend comp rules etc. I'm sure loads of peeps would find this useful. ;)

Create a post here and then copy and paste the text within it. If there are images within then take crops from it - you can open a PDF in Photoshop and view either the individual pages and open one that way, or view all of the images without the surrounding document.

Alternatively I have some webspace so could post a download link to the document Cutter kindly sent me.

Mark, adobe doc? A pdf file, or something else? Is this specific to the weekly comp poll, or just a guide on how to create poll with vBulletin?

There's a basic guide here in the FAQ, not specific though. http://www.photoradar.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_polls ;)
