One introduction, one problem, one suggestion
Hello all, my name's Andrea (skinn68 here and on the web), and after few months of reading Digital Camera on paper, I thought I'd finally sign up and take part in what essentially is, for me, a great learning tool. The fact that I have just bought my first DSLR camera is not a coincidence, also... :-)
Actually I'm here because I was looking around various threads in order to solve a couple of problems that I have incurred into in the last few hours... The first is a "real" one, as I have noticed that sometimes what appears on my photo page does not correspond to what is actually there. For example, as soon as I created my first album ("Praga"), it appeared twice on my list, like I had two albums exactly the same. And both links worked. Just the same, one of the picture appeared twice in one album, even if I uploaded it only once. I managed to solve both problems editing and deleting a few times, but it took a while, and it's all time that I could have used reading articles or forums here! :-) Jokes aside, I was wondering if it happened to someone else, or if it's got anything to do with software (I'm using Chrome on Win7), or else... The second one is not not a real problem, but more of a suggestion, I guess (I already tried to randomly check the forums to see if the same issue was brought up by someone else but I couldn't find anything, so in case I apologise). Is there any way that I can trace back my comments to other users' pictures? I couldn't find any link such as "my comments", or something similar, and I would like to be able to find some of the beautiful pics that I had commented in the past, or just check the later comments on the same picture... Sorry for writing so much, next time I'll cut it short, promise! :-) |
Welcome to the forums. We have seen the dual albums show up before. From a technical standpoint, it just means that something in the database is inconsistent. This usually resolves itself in a few hours.
The idea of being able to track comments you made is a good one. I do not recall if anyone had made it before. It would be an easier way to track down photos that you liked. |
Thank you donoreo, that's exactly why the idea came to my mind, because I was unable to find a nice picture I had commented on... :-) Bye!
