Elements 7 and Nikon D90

Can anyone help. I run Elements 7 and when I had a Nikon d70 I could open and edit Raw files (NEF) but now I have upgraded to a D90 and cant seem to open my Raw files (it says they are the wrong type of file). I know that some camera/software combinations are not compatible. Is this my problem and how do I fix it? Thanks in anticipation...

Upgrade your Adobe Camera Raw.... if it can't open D90 Raws then it's a very old version - it pays to keep it updated. Nikon D90 was added for version 5.1.... nearly two years ago.
You should be able to use version 6.2.

Thanks for that Geoff. Have downloaded the V6.2 from your link. How do I get it into Elements 7, sorry but things like this and me dont marry well!

Here's the instructions from Adobe. :D

1. Exit Photoshop Elements
2. Open the download file and double-click CameraProfiles.exe and follow the on-screen instructions
3. Open My Computer
4. Double-click Local Disk (C:)
5. Navigate to: (Please read directory carefully)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 8\File Formats\

6. Move the existing Camera Raw.8bi plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
7. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw.8bi, from the download into the same folder as Step 5.
8. Launch Photoshop Elements

Praise be to all who helped. The 6.2 version doesn't work with Elements version lower than 8. I have 7 so a bit of trial and error and downloaded 5.6 and raw files back on view. What did teacher say about read something through before starting!!!

I did wonder if you had loaded down the correct version. Still, glad it's sorted now. :D
