Drawn out subscription problems

I applied for a subscription to Photoplus at the end of March 2010. I received a letter dated 26th April 2010 to tell that my first issue would be the June 2010 issue. On the 25th May 2010 I received an email welcoming me to T3 which had a completely different subscriber number to my letter dated 26th April 2010, so I called Customer services to ask them why I had been changed to T3 and to be put back to Photoplus, I was told my subscription would be put back to Photoplus and I would get an other letter to confirm this within a week. I have not received a letter so I called today (7th June 2010) to see what is happening to find that my subscription is still for T3.

I the mean time I have had to buy the April and May issues and the June issue is already out and I don't want to miss that so if I cannot get the June issue sent to me I will simply cancel this subscription

Has anyone else had these difficulties subscribing to Photoplus?

Hi match14,

Sorry to hear you've had so many problems with subscribing - not sure how you've ended up with a T3 subscription, but I think this is the first incident of this kind!

It would be worth sending an e-mail to our subscriptions manager laura.finnigan-treacy@futurenet.com if you're still struggling to have it changed over to PhotoPlus, but please also feel free to send me an e-mail through carly.drew@futurenet.com if you don't receive your June issue, as we may be able to help.

Sorry again and thanks for reading!

Haven't had difficulties subscribing, but my magazine has fairly erratic arrival times!

PhotoPlus really needs to put in some work on this aspect of its operation. I'm seriously reconsidering re-subscribing.

It's simply easier to wait for it to appear on the newsagent stand... and that's something no self-respecting magazine should welcome as a comment from a subscriber.

Hi Matt,

Sorry to hear that you've had problems too. We've recently changed over to a new subscription fulfillment company, so we're hoping that once things settle that we'll be back to normal.

Please feel free to drop over your subscriber number and any information you have about the subscriptions problem and I'll make sure that it gets to the right people as soon as possible.

Same for you, match14 - please feel free to drop over your subscriber number and details of the problem, and I will endeavour to investigate further.

Hi Carly, and thanks for the reply.

That's interesting to read about the recent change over to a new subs fulfillment company.

Very kind of you to offer to personally look into the issue.

That sort of attitude and positive approach to service will serve you well.

Kind regards.

I'll be sending you an email later this afternoon.

Update - I sent both Laura Finnigan-Treacy and Carly Drew and email on 14th June and as yet I have still not had my subscription problems sorted out yet, nor have I had a reply from Laura Finnigan-Treacy, subscriptions manager or any one else in the subscription department.

Matt Watson 22-06-10 10:13 AM

Yeah....well....err.... what can one say?

Other than if it's anything like my experience with this side of their operation (subs), you'll just have to be patient, because the fault's not at their end.

Hi match14,

Laura has been on holiday the past couple of weeks, but she's back now so you might try resending your email again. If she doesn't respond let me know and I'll pass on your message myself.

Thanks,

Amy
