CHAT: Weekend Competition 12-14 March - FILL THE FRAME

Take a picture this weekend in which nothing but your subject (or a part thereof) is in the frame. Get in nice and close if you need to.

There is one caveat - I think it's time to take a little break from Photoshop et al so for this week only there should be MINIMAL POST-PROCESSING, including in-camera corrections.

Hopefully there will not be a lengthy debate about what this entails so use your judgement. But as a guideline, you can make global corrections to address issues with contrast, exposure, or colour. This means
- cropping is allowed
- basic adjustments in Levels, Curves, Brightness/Contrast et al are OK
- light sharpening is OK
BUT
- no composites
- no spot editing (except to clean up sensor dust)
- no mono conversions
- no frames or borders

Good luck all.

Something like this you mean? Snow......sorry for the editing but I've had to give it a bit of a blue tint otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it at all. :-) There's plenty more where this came from, snow is something that we're definitely not short of - ask Sarasocke.

Simple but effective Forseti - love the way it draws you in. Makes you think - of nothing ;)Maybe if you found some yellow snow to focus on

You give some people an inch and they take a mile! :p Nice one Forseti, I like your thinking... ;)

I think I could manage with the yellow snow ;)
