Sony microphone with Canon EOS 5D mk ii

Hi
I am thinking of buying a Sony ECM-MSD1 microphone to use with my camera.
It doesn't look too big and the info on the sound quality seems very good. Does anyone have any experience of this mic on the 5D mk ii.
