Photo Upload NEEDS FIXING

problems in the order I found them:

1. Photo upload is very slow indeed but the first worked OK once I'd completed all the boxes.
2. Every time I change pages in the photo section I get the window asking for name and password even though it shows I'm logged on. The window goes away if I click the cancel button twice, and i remain logged on.
3. Uploading a second photo appeared to fail - I could not see it in the albumn. I tried a second time, then discovered that it's name and title were shown twice, but not the picture. Clicking on one of the titles revealed the picture, but not the other.
4. Clicking the delete button below the picture does not delete it.

(This is all in Firefox latest version.)

I agree with Simon. The upload feature needs to have functionality to upload (and automatically unzip) a zip file. That way several images could be uploaded in one session.

Just to add, also on Firefox and for some reason I only had to relog in once after I uploaded my first picture. Since then nada.

Decided to try the upload section and failed. Apparently the tags I used were unsuitable, words like monochrome candid portrait people protest.

What is suitable?

Also a little bemused by having to tick a box if the image may offend someone under 18, I thought you had to be 18 to be on the site.

Abers did you seperate the tags/keywords with a comma as this is normal protacol for keywording, it worked fine for me using some of those same keywords.

Hi Alan,

Nice to see you on here - I always find your posts interesting.

I'm still getting the pop-up asking for username and password every time I view a new page. If I fill in the details (either those for logging in or for uploading) it just repeats the question, but if I click cancel it goes away and I can carry on. and like you, I cannot delete a picture. I get the box to confirm I want to delete it, click OK, and it changes nothing.

Hi Alan,

We're having some issues with the delete images button, we're currently working on this.

As for clicking on inappropriate for under 18s, you don't have to be over 18 to view the site - just to join. Therefore if something is unsuitable for under 18s we won't show it to the public, only to logged in members.

Hope that explains things,

Best wishes,

Amy

I didn't have any problems with uploading (I don't use Firefox, so maybe that helped) but I did find that when it told me I should separate my keywords with commas not spaces, the text all then ran into itself on the screen! I was able to ignore it, corrected my keywords and then it was fine.

I did notice however that none of the ? symbols on the upload page worked. The first few disappear when I highlight them with my mouse. The last 3 go dark when I highlight them, but clicking on them does nothing.

Upload error

Every pic I have uploaded gave me panel (after upload) saying "An error occurred:" followed by lots of HTML(?).
If I click OK the picture isn' shown on the upload image page.
I click on the upload icon at the bottom, and the page refreshes to a text icon with the name of the image, (and other images uploaded) but no image.
If I go to "Visit my photo page", after a couple of refreshes the image is there.

1. What am I doing wrong?
2. How can I submit the error text for diagnostic?

Cheers.
