I knew my shots were good but not that good that no one would give me any critique :)

I think your shots are superb, particularly for the first time in a studio. I like the way you have placed your son towards the bottom of the frame in the first shot, as he is looking upwards...

The second shot, whilst I like it, I do feel that it is cropped a little too tightly. I would jhave preferred to see all of the hat....
