The first shot doesn't do a lot for me at all - it's got no real point of interest and it's a bit flat. The second one is better and I like the minimalist composition.

But the third one, of K-15 is lovely. Great colour, really nicely framed, nice and sharp, moody sky and really well metered and exposed.

@ chris, many thanks for the inputs, really appreciate it.. I need to learn more on proper compositon, just a newbie in this hobby:)

I'm not an artistic person by nature - I'm a hardcore scientist is what I am and always will be. I've no issues with the technical stuff and can calculate the angles of view or pixel pitches etc till I'm blue in the face.

So I find composition is the "hard" bit of photography.
Some of it's straight forwards (like the rule of thirds etc) but I am currently reading [url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Photographers-Eye-Composition-Design-Digital/dp/1905814046/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1259311157&sr=8-1]this book[/url] which is all about how we look at and read photos. It's full of useful information and has taught me [I]loads[/I] about composition.
