Early morning landscape

The recce was done in 21st November 2009 with few friends.

We shared a same interest.. Photography..

Our meeting point is Broga Hill, somewhere in Semenyih Selangor, Malaysia.

Woke up as early as 5.30 am and drive through Cheras-Seremban highway.. The morning was stil dark and there are few cars on the road.

From Sungai Besi, I reached Broga Hill 40 minutes later.. We re-group at the palm estate and I had a bun for my breakfast before we take off.

There were many hikers down the hill that day and we are some of them who really joy the hike.

Here are some of my shots...

#1 - Sunrise at the 1st stop..

We are planning to revisit this place somewhere in December 2009.. Broga Hill rocks!

I like number 2 and number 4 the best. Number 2 looks like an HDR shot to me and (if it is) a nice one as the tonal range looks good and it's not over processed.

I like the simplicity in number 4.

Those are all pretty neat. I like 1 and 4 the best, but those may just reflect my general mood of late!

2 and 4 for me ...............anyone felling generous who could fund a trip to Malaysia?

1 & 2 do it for me most but great shots and well worth the early start. Just a bit of a wonky horizon there on 3 ;)

Hi Chris-p,

#2 is an HDR processed image. I did it with a single RAW file. Tone mapped and with some secret recipe... :D

#4 is also my favourite, it looks better in B&W.

Air Asia is now having their promotions for flights to Malaysia. It is really affordable. The exchange rate now is 1GBP = 5.3 RM. With RM5.3 you can have McD value meals for lunch... Cool right?

Hi jinky, #3 weird horizon with reasons.. Try to google for "Broga Hill" you will see hundreds of those similar pictures...
I would like to create impact for my shots and personally I believe I did it. Just need some adjustment on the camera setting for my next trip.

Thanks for viewing, cheers!

1 + 4 for me, where can these be viewed full size? Just love the moody feel to them.

Nicely done as the tonal range is good for a DRI (it's not HDR using 1 file). Makes a pleasant change to see this sort of thing (DRI or HDR) done carefully and not horribly over-processed :)
