canon lens ? 70-200 2.8l is usm
 

i would be greatful if any menber has detail of 70-200 2.8l is usm details :: how to use this lens correctly i got it second hand

As a sarcastic answer put it on the camera, point it at the subject and press the shutter release. That's about it for most of it.

There are a few switches which I expect you'll be familiar with AF/MF to switch between auto & manual focus; a focus limiter so the lens doesn't have to hunt through the whole focus range; Image Stabiliser on off (speaks for itself) and the mode 1 for normal 2 for panning.

It's a nice lens, but due for replacement immenently in fact the announcement is expected on the 24th of this month according to rumour control!

Hopefully that's all the instruction you need for it.

Hi Frank you may wish to review this site ( I have this lens and it is an absolute gem of a lens use it on my 350D and 40D bodies, very sharp and good results in low light image IS also very useful also use with x 2 extender again good results for high speed racing cars/bikes)

It takes the 2x converter quite well too, to make it a 140-400mm f5.6.

The AF does suffer though.

[B]Switching Focus Distance[/B]: 1.4m to infinity and 2.5m to infinity, (from you subject / focus point) this stops the auto focus hunting and the benefit is auto-focusing time is shorter

[B]Focus Ring[/B]: can be used at any-time regardless of focus mode (AF or MF)

[B]Image Stabiliser[/B]: 1 for standard use low light / no flash can be used; 2 for panning moving subject;

[B]Extenders[/B]: Both 1.4 and 2 work with this lens

has[B] infinity compensation mark[/B] and [B]infra-red index[/B] (have not used these to date :)
