Would appreciate feedback

It may seem like shameless self-promotion, but I would appreciate any feedback, good or bad on my photo's. Please visit my photo's page, and let me know what you would change (if anything) about some of my shots.

Hi Aaron

Some nice shots in your gallery. I would sugges tthat you post a pic or 2 and ask for specific C&C.

I have to say I particularly like the shot below. A great angle and a really nice B&W conversion as well. The low angle really makes the shot more intimate.

I also really like the lighting in this shot...

I like the hound shot too (though he / she looks a bit trapped in the frame with the nose so tight to the edge, while the eyes are telling a different story so to speak)

Thanks Chris, I see her everyday from above so I like getting down to her level when shooting her, and looking up to her, but unfortunately as soon as I lay down to take a shot of her sitting, she follows suit and lays down too :)

I appreciate the feedback beauxreflets. I will allow for some more room next time.

The swan shot was one I took at random on a (failed) Timelapse expedition to Grafham waters. It is photoshopped to give it a dreamy appearance, and I know that some photographers look down on photoshop, but I enjoy the results it can bring.

And on that note, and following your advice Chris of specifying a photo to be C&Ced; could you please tell me what you think of this photo.

It was given a poster edge treatment and curves adjustment in photoshop to appear as an oil painting. Would you consider this as photography still, or overly-photoshopped?

I like the shot and I like the frame but I don't like them together. There is a lot going on around the edge of the shot with all the leaves and the frame is also very busy so I find I spend more time looking at the edges of the whole thing rather than the shot itself.

The image itself is nicely processed and I like the composition. It obeys the rule of thirds and I like the boats being on the left (rather than the right) so your eye moves across to them.

I like the elements in composition, though the Curves conversion of mid range tones determines quite a hard effect on the image.

I am not a great fan of poster edge treatments myself, as I do not like frames in frames (I tend to view pictures on how they would look when mounted and framed) although some edge treatments can work.

Thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately, I rarely get my pictures mounted or framed.... or printed to be honest. It would most likely change my perspective on adding frames and close cropping.
