Holiday snaps .

Oh yes holiday snaps , well if you can't bore people with them here where can you .

Didn't take my D90 for several reasons , the main one was the threat of divorce if I turned this trip into a photography cause .
So out came my old Lumix FZ8 bridging camera and despite it's limitations I was quite pleased with the results .

Where is this Mark? Looks beautiful.

You should be pleased with these shots, they're very good, and a great memory of your holiday I would imagine.

I particularly like the sunset/sunrise. Great colours, menacingly beautiful. Very good.

I also love the basketball sillouette. Great action shot set against a wonderful backdrop. My only observation would be that the deck chairs and person in the background are a bit distorting, but I appreciate that you can't always choose your ideal background.

The details in the bird shot are very good too, as well as the scene reflected in the sunglasses.
Overall, great set of photos.

Cheers Chris for the feedback so glad you like them .

The sunset was amazing , I sat there waiting for the sun to go down but as it did there was no sign of any colour . I got up to leave after about 20mins and then as I looked back it started , the vivid red stretched across the whole sky but as always only lasted for a short time .

The sunset beach volleyball was great to watch and yes you're right about trying to find a good shooting position , I liked this one because of the mid air capture but I did get a couple of others like this one .

The portrait was taken on a catamaran trip and I wanted to capture the great character of the crew member as well as a taste of the location with the reflection .

These little humming bird darted about all over the place and had me captivated for hours .

All taken on or around the Island of Antigua , a holiday of a life time .

Thanks

Mark

Antigua is now on my list of holiday destinations for the future!

Looks like you had a great time.
And that's another cracking photo. Full of atmosphere.

Great set Mark, I love the silhouette volleyball shots. The hummingbird is stunning and the first one is so simple and yet so captivating. Good work :)

Chris the problem with holidaying in Antigua is that you'll have to go back because nothing else comes close and yes I had the time of my life there .

Cheers Mark and thanks for the comments , glad you like them .

Northamptonshire is beautiful - once you get away from Northampton/Kettering/Corby! ok, it can't compare with Antigua for sun, sea and relaxation.

Fantastic photos Markgozz - those silhouettes are marvelous, love the colours on the bird and the reflection shot is brill

Thank you Carol for your very kind comments .

Chris , it's nothing like anywhere I've ever been but I'm sure Northampton has it's beauty spots . :)
