Any good tour guides

Hi all I'm hoping to go on a holiday to Italy this year, I'm hoping to go to the island of Capri, this is because my grandfather had mentioned to my mother it was the most beautiful place he had ever visited. I thought I would ask the question as I've not used a lot of them on the web to book a holiday so hoping some of you may reassure me?

Hi,
You don't say what your other possible destinations may be, or what you're looking for.
I haven't yet visit Capri, but I'm told it is beautiful.
As for the rest of Italy; Rome is crammed full with ancient sights added to which the Vatican is well worth a visit.
Venice is glorious and very picturesque. Remains one of my favourite places, having been four times. Florence has it's attractions as has Sienna, Pisa is really only worth a passing visit if you happen to be going that way. Sorento, Naples, Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculanium and the Amalfi Coastline are full of opportunities and the lakes int he North are wonderful.
Italy is one country I'm happy to visit time and again.

Hi Chris thank you for the reply, sorry my questions looks a little vague (I think I'd been drinking that night) :o
I think what I was asking was, is there anything special around the island of Capri to photograph? I've now booked my location which isn't on Capri. I'll be staying on the Amalfi Coast which isn't far so will still be doing a day trip to the island. So glad you recommend this area it does look beautiful from the photos Ive seen, I've never been to Italy and i'm really looking forward to it.

Looks like your going to have a lovely time. My only recommendation is,if your going to Positano, then I would take a boat trip. When we were staying in Sorrento we tried 3 times to drive there, but what with the very narrow roads, coaches, etc we found that the most civilized way was by sea. The coastline is very pretty, and there are plenty of photo opportunities. Capri is lovely, though VERY touristy. Been once. Probably wouldn't go again, because far too busy. Pompeii is great. Incredible how much is preserved. Though obviously a popular destination. Vesuvius. Quite ugly to start, though very interesting once near the top, and the views are wonderful.... the tourist shop at the top sells a passable glass of wine -red was ok.
