Confused

Hello,

I am a new reader of Digital Camera and have recently registered on-line. I have so far managed to upload 2 images to the gallery but not without lots of problems. On most occasions my log-in is rejected, but even when I do gain access it seems to be almost impossible to move around the site. When changing pages I am frequently left with a Camera World header (+ adverts) at the top of the page but the remainder of the screen remains black. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it does seem to me that this website seldom works - last weekend I tried for over an hour to register but hit one brick wall after another. Is the website being maintained or is there a system problem?

Many thanks
G7JHZ

Have now tried Google Chrome and things are much improved!

Glad you're getting on ok now.
Sure enough uploading photos can be a pain, but generally speaking the site itself seems to work ok.

Thank you very much - it seems to be a problem when I use Internet Explorer. Google Chrome is fine and gives much faster, reliable access.

I use Firefox and have not had any problems. Some websites seem to be averse to certain browsers. I have a website on Verizon's website but I can only access it through Internet Explorer. I contacted Verizon about this and they said the fault is with Firefox. So I contacted Firefox and they said the problem is with Verizon. Verizon is the only place I have this problem, though.

It's very easy to blame the browsers for their shoddy coding though. isn't it. :D

I can understand how sites will look different in certain browsers, but they should work ok with them.
