Elements 8 System Requirements
 

I'm relatively new to digital, own a Canon 450d shoot in raw+jpeg and use DPP for any adjusting.
I am considering buying Elements 8 and note that the system requirements are 1.6Ghz or faster and 1.00Gb of Ram. My machine is 3.20Ghz and 1.00Gb of Ram.
As my available Ram is just the minimum would I have any difficulty in using Elements 8 ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.:confused:

It may run slow when doing some memory intensive tasks. If you do not open too many files at once it will probably be ok. However, memory is pretty cheap right now, not go for an upgrade as well?

I would suggest upping the memory.I had similar to you on a vista machine initially 1 gig Ram and at times it crawled (elements 7)

Now have 4 gig of Ram cheap and easy to do .

I also replaced the very basic Intel graphics card with an Nvidia one which has it's own memory .cost around £30.00 and well worth it .

I am no computer whizz but those 2 upgrades were a Godsend.
