Macro shot
Since there's no dedicated macro thread  I thought I'd post up a B&W conversion of one of my recent shots:
Nice shot Carl
The lighting is lovely For your reference the macro thread is here
Thanks Chris, my lighting rig consists of a £10 LED lamp from B&Q, I'm very ghetto in my approach. I had seen the macro thread but it's a sub-set of wildlife which is a bit too exclusive IMHO, I specialise in abstract shots. ;) Regards Carl |
Nice rig. I'm just beginning to play around with macro myself and it's very much on a budget.
At the moment the "rig" (for want of a better phrase!) consists of a reversing ring, and old M42 mount 50mm f/2.8 and a desk lamp! My faves so far are: |
Very crisp - I like it too

I agree with Carl i am not so much into bugs and beasties, while i admire the skill in the shot its not for me, i also prefer the more abstract (with the occasional flower of corse).:D
So here are three i did earlier in true blue peter fashion. Spoon Mood Space |
Hi Kas, nice to see like minded folk and 3 great images, I especially love #3 as water drops are my "thing". Nice to see some well composed abstracts, I like images that make me think!

Hay Carl, If water drops are your thing have you checked out Martin Waugh's stuff.
