Hi
i am new to this web forum and website, i have been trying to load a picture to the hotshots page but it keeps telling me "invalid image". some advice please. |
There is a size limit - 2mb I think. So if you come in under this you should be ok.

That's really strange. But it may explain why most of the time I can post images larger than 1mb, but sometimes I can't. |
Yep I've always found that I have to keep them under 1MB to make sure they load .

Mark
It does seem a bit hit and miss at times! I've put a couple of photos on tonight, one was 1.6MB. Went on fine, but other times they won't. |
To be quite honest as the images are limited to 900px across the top edge a larger file size wouldn't make much of a difference .

Mark
That would explain it. My PC skills are not great so this doesnt come easy sometimes. Cheers Mark. |
I had the same problem at first but reading the instructions on loading the maximum size of files I finally understood that I can upload up to 2mb but the pixel size matter most. In photoshop for example when you re size, do not use % but rather pixel size and then reduce the smaller number to 900 pixels, the picture will reduce itself accordingly and you should be able to upload ( being under 2Mb ).
