Re: The Eagle Has Not Landed
Hi Mark's
Thanks for the comments, I wish I could say that I spent hours waiting for this shot in the wild, soaking wet and cold, but no it's a captive bird flying in Warwick castle.
Although a striking shot and I've had nice comments, however I'm a little disappointed as I was not prepared enough which is a poor excuse when shooting a captive bird, I had to remove some people heads from the shot and this is quite a close crop to get other distracting features out of the way, but hey I think we are all own worst critics when it comes to our photographs.
I shot this on a Canon 7D with a Canon EFS15-85mm lens @ 85mm, ISO 100, F8, on high speed continuous. Shooting in the continuous mode helped to get this this shot of the 8 shot in a burst this is the best. The birds flight speed was slowing so @ 1/80 and panning it was the last shot than was the clearest.
Again thanks for the comments and interest.
