This has a fantastic painterly feel. It reminds me of the landscape paintings of Caspar David Friedrich. If you're not already a fan, it's well worth googling his paintings - landscape photographers can learn a lot from artists, and Friedrich was a master of light, shade and mood - and of course composition.
